Hi, lovelies!
Wicked Ways is officially available for preorder!! š¤
The release date, as you all already know, is October 20th 2025, but before thenāI will be needing a trusted little team of chaos goblins to help me promote and review the finished book.
Does that sound like fun? Keep reading⦠š
Do you want the blurb?
No?
Iāll give it to you anyway.
After a drunken promise to his best friend's little sister, Evie, Noah spends the next six years obsessively ensuring she remains single and safe, waiting for the day she'll be his. As Noah rises through the ranks of his security career, he secretly sabotages every relationship Evie tries to have, all while trying his best to stay away.
Evie, unaware of how deep his obsession goes, seeks comfort with him, while trying to bury the crush sheās had on him for years. But as the years pass and their relationship evolves, Noahās obsession threatens to unravel everything theyāve builtāforcing both of them to confront their own morals in order to love unconditionally.
Are you as excited as I am? š
I might not be able to contain the excitement, so Iāll be sending out some scenes that didnāt make it through the last edits, and maybe some bonus stuff as well, before it releases. Keep your eyes peeled, guys! (Not literally, though, letās leave that to the fictional charactersā¦)
Noah is dark. He isnāt Jace-level at the get-go, but he gets someā¦help. I donāt want to spoil anything, but if you read Fall Into OblivionāOkay, no, C. J., stop. Thatās too much⦠š
I will be looking for a trusted little team of chaos goblins, as I mentioned above, to help me promote and review Wicked Ways around the time of release. What you do will be entirely up to you.
If you want to hype it up on socials with me? Excellent. š»
If you want to read an early copy and post a spoiler free review? Awesome. š
If you want both? (Why choose, right?) Perfect. š¢
Click here to fill in the form, and Iāll be in contact if it feels like a good fit. š«¶
Well, I try not to indulge my intrusive thoughts too much, but you all know Lewis is up next, right? Heās a menace. Heās another stalker. And heās not sneaky.
So hereās a little taste of Lewis, all the way from my first draft*:
*Subject to change in the final version.
I kept my eyes on her as she walked down the street, her ass swaying as her heels clacked against concrete. Holy shit. Yeah, I needed to get that key.
As soon as she rounded the corner, I moved. I pulled the pen from the side of the clipboard, filling in some of the squares in the fake form Iād printed out to look more professional. If anyone saw it, theyād probably think I was insane. And I probably was, now. Thanks to her.
But for the next thirty minutes, Iād be inspecting the building on behalf of Property & Hazard Inspections Limited. P. H. I. L. Thatās at least what my form said. And the form was official. So I was official.
Mrs. Georgina Dover ended up as the name at the top of the form.
I didnāt know her last name yet, but it didnāt matter. I could imagine her with mine for the time being.
Civil status: married. Not technically true, but who cared?
I continued scribbling a few more notes as I moved through the lobby, looking up toward beams and staircases and stomping the floor a few times every time I scribbled down another note. The last one was about her wild hair, and I attempted to draw it draped across a pillowā¦but it looked more like a brick on fire.
āCan I help you with something, sir?ā A woman walked up to me, her hands knitted in front of her abdomen with a worried look on her face.
āOh, yes, perfect,ā I said, pointing at the beams and then tapping my pen at the nonsensical form. āI need to get to the fourth floor to check some maintenance stuff on the beams.ā
āAre you, um, did someone call you, or?ā She looked at me, her eyes wide and probably slightly worried.
So I put on my best grin and shrugged with one shoulder. āI have as little information as you do,ā I told her, flicking the board around quickly to emphasize my point. āProbably less. They barely told me where to park.ā
When she just stared up at me like I was a huge question mark, I turned the form around again and said, āI got this form passed to my desk this morning, and that brick drawing? I think itās on fire or something? So I should probably get there as fast as I can.ā
āOf course,ā she replied, clearing her throat. āIāll get you a guest card.ā
Iām loving this guy so much. But you didnāt get this sneak peek from me, alright? This is a secret. Itās going to be a little while until heās ready to step out from the shadows. š¤«
I didnāt expect to drop all this today, but Iāve had three cups of coffee, a long day at work, and way too much joy about having a handful of you guys signing up for the street team and ARC shenanigans for Wicked Ways. š»
Until next timeāstay dark and obsessed.
